RECONAFRICA AND NAMCOR ANNOUNCE THE SPUD OF THE FIRST OF FOUR OIL TARGETS IN THE KAVANGO BASIN

 On June 28, 2022, both RECONAFRICA and Its partner NAMCOR as a joint venture announced the initial drilling of the well.


The program comprises four well that will be in effect continuously and plan to test 2 wells named oil-prone Karoo Rift Fill and Intra Rift Fault Block. 


It is planned that the 8-2 well will be drilled depth of 2800 meters and the testing of oil and gas reservoirs at the Karoo Rift Fill. 

RECONAFRICA and Its partner company NAMCOR also planned to drill deeper at Pre-Karoo Mulden and Otavi Formations.
